MIDWIFERY CARE

Midwifery care is a science and an art. It's a way of caring for people and families throughout their reproductive years that supports patient autonomy, informed choice decision making, and individualized care that's tailored specifically to each patient's physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs. Midwives are professionally trained, medical care providers for both mothers and infants. A midwife's expertise and skills are in supporting pregnant people to maintain healthy pregnancies, have optimal births and optimal recoveries during the postpartum period.
